WAY TO GLO!

If you've been following me for a while, you know that I'm always on the hunt for the latest and greatest in the world of self-care. And today, I'm beyond excited to spill the beans on a facial routine that has been dubbed the "Overnight Botox".

Yes, you read that right, Overnight Botox! 🌟 Now, I know what you're thinking – "Is this some kind of magical elixir that grants you ageless skin while you sleep?" Well, not exactly, but it's pretty darn close!

But before I dive into the details, let me clarify – no needles are involved, and this is all-natural, non-invasive, and safe for your skin. It's all about harnessing the power of carefully selected products and techniques to achieve results that rival a night's rest at a luxurious spa. 😌💆‍♀️

Step 1: (Double) Cleanse

Start by using an oil-based cleanser. Apply a small amount to dry skin and gently massage it in, focusing on areas with makeup or sunscreen. This helps break down and dissolve makeup, excess sebum, and pollutants. Next, rinse your face with lukewarm water.

Follow up with a water-based cleanser. Apply a pea-sized amount to your damp face and create a lather. Gently massage it over your skin, focusing on your T-zone and any congested areas. This step removes water-based impurities like sweat and environmental pollutants. Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water, ensuring no residue remains.

Step 2: Argireline Serum

What it is / does: You probably saw this from a previous issue of Glo Getter. Argireline is also known as Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, and is a skincare ingredient commonly used in serums to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Take a small amount of the Argireline solution (4-5 drops), onto your fingertips. It's important to start with a small amount, as a little goes a long way. Gently dab the solution onto areas where you want to target fine lines and wrinkles. These areas commonly include forehead lines, crow's feet, and expression lines around the mouth and eyes.

Use your fingertips to pat and lightly press the solution into your skin. Avoid rubbing or dragging your skin, as this can lead to irritation. Give the Argireline solution a few moments to fully absorb into your skin.

Step 3: Mist

If you don’t have a facial spray yet, it’s time to invest in one. You can even make them at home with a simple mist spray bottle and distilled water.

Mist the entire face and sit back for the moisture to absorb.

Step 4: Matrixyl 10% + HA

What it is / does: Matrixyl is a peptide complex often used in skincare products to target fine lines, wrinkles, and promote overall skin health. HA is just abbreviation for hyaluronic acid, a powerful humectant which offers moisture retention. These two ingredients combined, they are a powerful couple for combating the appearance of fine lines and dull, saggy skin.

Similarly, take a few drops of this product and gently pad over your face. Sit back for a moment and let the product dry on your face.

Step 5: Complete the Facial

You can cap off the routine with a retinol cream or just a simple moisturizer. Then hit the hay and you’ll wake up to tightened, glorious skin in the morning.

Like this stuff? It would mean the world to me if you can share with your friends and family! Your support is the best kind of motivation 😃 😃 😃 😃

GLO ABOVE & BEYOND

A couple of years ago, Kylie Jenner became the first among the Kardashian/Jenner siblings to reach billionaire status after selling her eponymous beauty brand, Kylie Cosmetics. Now she wants her baby back.

Earlier this week, reports indicated that Kylie Jenner is following her sister's lead in considering the repurchase of her beauty enterprise from Coty. Despite this news, the beauty company's stock exhibited a minor uptick of 0.9 percent, reaching $11.66 during midmorning trading on Thursday. The report from Bloomberg outlined Jenner's intentions to reclaim the 51% stake of Kylie Cosmetics that Coty Inc. had acquired for $600 million in 2020. This move was reportedly prompted by Jenner's alleged dissatisfaction with Coty's management of the brand.

Coincidentally, just a few weeks ago, news surfaced that Kim Kardashian was also engaged in negotiations to regain full ownership of her beauty venture from Coty. In 2021, Coty procured a 20% share in Kardashian's beauty business, then recognized as KKW Beauty, for $200 million, suggesting a $1 billion valuation for the brand at that time. Sue Nabi, the CEO of Coty, refrained from commenting on the ongoing speculation surrounding the Kardashians. She did, however, point out that the premium-priced direct-to-consumer skincare line, named SKKN by Kim, continues to exhibit robust performance. In contrast, Kylie Cosmetics is experiencing double-digit growth.

An analyst from Jefferies commented that according to Euromonitor, Kylie Cosmetics sales were down 20 percent in 2022 from 2019, suggesting Kylie could buy her brand back for less than the $600 million purchase price. Today, the median sales multiple for a high growth beauty company is ~5.7x. We assume Kylie would pay a discounted multiple as the brand’s growth profile has slowed. If we assume Kylie’s revenues range between $150-$200 million today and a ~4.5x multiple is used, we estimate she would likely pay between $350-$450 million for her 51% stake.
