WAY TO GLO!

I recently saw an advertisement for double-chin removal surgery. While the ad certainly provided entertainment, it also reminded me of a trend that went viral not long ago: mewing.

If you haven't come across it yet and you've been pining for an Angelina Jolie-like jawline but don't want to go through surgery for it, let's explore this method that promises to help you sculpt your facial features naturally. (If you are skeptical, just google “mewing results” to get a sense of the magnitude of change here.)

Understanding Mewing

Mewing is a technique developed by Dr. John Mew, a British orthodontist, which involves maintaining the proper tongue posture within your mouth to encourage desirable facial growth. The concept is straightforward: by keeping your tongue on the roof of your mouth and engaging in specific oral habits, you can achieve a more defined jawline, a better facial profile, and various other health benefits.

How Does Mewing Work?

The core principle of Mewing is that, by maintaining correct tongue posture, you can:

  1. Enhance Facial Symmetry: Proper tongue posture can help balance your facial muscles and promote symmetry, resulting in a more attractive appearance.

  2. Define Your Jawline: The technique claims to improve jawline definition and reduce the appearance of a double chin over time.

  3. Improve Breathing: Mewing encourages nasal breathing, which can have positive effects on overall health, as it filters and humidifies the air you breathe.

  4. Support Orthodontic Treatment: Mewing can potentially complement orthodontic treatments, like braces or aligners, by aiding in maintaining the results.

Getting Started with Mewing

  1. Tongue Posture: The crux of Mewing is keeping your tongue in contact with the roof of your mouth, specifically on the palate, extending from the front to the back.

  2. Lip Seal: Maintain a relaxed lip seal with your lips gently closed, but not tensed.

  3. Nasal Breathing: Prioritize breathing through your nose rather than your mouth to improve oxygen flow and support facial development.

  4. Chewing and Swallowing: Chew your food thoroughly and swallow with your tongue on the roof of your mouth.

  5. Consistency: Like any habit, consistency is vital. Mewing requires patience and dedication for noticeable results.

Mewing Myths and Realities

Mewing has gained popularity, but it's important to be realistic about its potential. It's not a miracle solution, and outcomes can vary from person to person. Some may experience more significant changes than others. Additionally, Mewing doesn't replace necessary orthodontic treatment when it's required.

In conclusion, Mewing offers an interesting and natural approach to enhancing your facial aesthetics and overall health. It's a method that involves mindful oral habits and tongue posture aimed at improving facial symmetry and jawline definition. While its effectiveness may vary, it's worth exploring if you're interested in holistic beauty practices and self-improvement. Remember, beauty is diverse and subjective, and embracing your uniqueness is always the most beautiful thing you can do. So, practice Mewing if you wish, but never forget to love yourself just the way you are. 😊💕

Like this stuff? It would mean the world to me if you can share with your friends and family! Your support is the best kind of motivation 😃 😃 😃 😃

GLO ABOVE & BEYOND

After more than a decade of creating content, Claudia Sulewski, a popular YouTube personality with 2.45 million subscribers and girlfriend of Finneas O’Connell, is shifting her career from content creation to business ownership, launching her own self-care brand called Cyklar. The brand is all about inclusivity and sustainability, with the first product, a Body Cream priced at $58, going direct-to-consumer. Sulewski's deliberate approach to this endeavor sets it apart, as she waited until the time felt right to ensure she could make the right decisions.

One of the brand's distinctive features is its commitment to sustainability. Cyklar offers refillable and reusable packaging that is also compostable, a concept that aligns with the brand's name, inspired by the idea of a continuous cycle of using products and vessels. Sulewski worked with On Repeat, a packaging manufacturer, to create compostable refills. The simple glass packaging with minimal branding can be repurposed, reflecting the emphasis on recyclability.

The Body Cream, Cyklar's first product, features banana flower extract as a hero ingredient, known for its hydrating and prebiotic properties. It also includes niacinamide for hydration and desert cactus flower for gentle exfoliation. Sulewski is committed to making all Cyklar products vegan, cruelty-free, dermatologist-tested, paraben-free, sulfate-free, and silicon-free. The genderless brand incorporates a gender-neutral scent named Crescent, inspired by Sulewski's forest-surrounded childhood street. She plans to expand Cyklar in the body care space, envisioning it as a self-care, lifestyle brand.

Sulewski documented the entire process of creating Cyklar and will promote it across her channels. Industry sources estimate that the brand is poised to achieve $1.5 million in first-year retail sales.
