WAY TO GLO!

In recent years, Korean skincare has undeniably swept the beauty world by storm. The global influence of K-beauty products and regimens cannot be overstated, ranging from the coveted glass-skin trend to the intricate 10-step nightly routine.

The widespread popularity of Korean skincare can be attributed to several key factors. At its core, it embraces a holistic yet approach to skincare that places a strong emphasis on prevention rather than mere concealing of skin issues. South Korean beauty philosophy centers around the pursuit and preservation of healthy, radiant skin, aligning seamlessly with the broader global movement towards clean beauty and wellness.

Innovation stands as the beating heart of Korean skincare, continuously churning out groundbreaking product formulations and cutting-edge technology. This unwavering commitment to research and development has yielded a wealth of unique and highly effective ingredients, including snail mucin, propolis, and hyaluronic acid, all of which have captivated beauty enthusiasts worldwide.

Moreover, Korean brands take the extra step of investing heavily in adorable and eye-catching packaging, ensuring that skincare routines are not only effective but also enjoyable and Instagram-worthy.

…Consequently, when my husband mentioned his upcoming trip to Korea, I eagerly prepared a list for him, to have him procure some of these coveted products for me.

Below is the list I sent him 😄😀

AESTURA Atobarrier 365 Cream

The product boasts a unique gel-cream texture that initially feels refreshingly lightweight but transforms into a silky, nourishing texture upon application. It rapidly absorbs into the skin, leaving it remarkably comfortable and visibly more supple, all without any unwanted greasiness. It contains soft ceramide capsules, which restore moisture to the skin barrier, providing up to 100 hours of hydration. Additionally, it serves as an ideal makeup primer, maintaining skin hydration without causing excess shine. This product is at the top of many K-beauty ranking lists (Korea's No.1 moisturizer) and has garnered significant attention from numerous K-beauty bloggers.

KAHI Wrinkle Bounce Multi Balm

If you are a fan of K-drama, there is a chance that you have already seen this product on many of the leading ladies (Spotted in: 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo,' 'Business Proposal,' 'Yumi’s Cell,' 'Mimicus'). This balm is so amazing that it was the #1 best-selling beauty product in Korea last year. You can use it as a lip balm, wrinkle balm, or even a dewy highlighter. Now, do I want this because of its abundant product placements in Korean TV shows, or is it actually worth trying? My answer: I absolutely want to try it this winter. Based on the reviews, it provides super-hydration throughout the day, addressing dry and cracked skin, and leaving the skin with a dewy finish. What better time than the dry season to test it out?

SKIN1004 Hyalu-Cica Water Fit Sunscreen

I am super excited to try this one because I have read so many great reviews about this product. At SPF 50+ and PA++++, it's an ultra-lightweight yet deeply hydrating option for physical sun protection. It contains hyaluronic acid, centella asiatica extract, and niacinamide, all of which help to keep the skin hydrated during the winter. Another great feature is that it doesn't leave a white cast on the face.

Round Lab 1025 Dokdo Toner

Yet another award-winning toner that aids in skin turnover. This toner features a proprietary and patented technology, Hatching EX-07, which controls excess sebum and effectively exfoliates dirt, dry skin, and dead skin cells.

Beplain Greenful pH-Balanced Cleansing Foam

This is a super gentle cleanser with 33% mung bean extract to help remove impurities lodged in the pores but also restore the lost hydration to keep the skin soft, smooth and supple. There is a good reason why this is the No. 1 ranked cleanser in South Korea. If you want to get your hands on this product, you will need to make a beeline for this when you arrive at Olive Young, as it is always sold out due to its popularity.

Like this stuff? It would mean the world to me if you can share with your friends and family! Your support is the best kind of motivation 😃 😃 😃 😃
