WAY TO GLO!

The most expensive cream in the world cannot save you.

No, I'm not kidding.

We've been led to believe that modern skincare possesses powers to reverse the ravages of time and undo damages from the past. But let me burst that bubble of illusion for you. Repairing the damages inflicted upon our delicate skin is actually a long, arduous and difficult task. So, heed these words again, dear friends, you want to avoid skincare mistakes rather than correct them.

1. Skipping Sun Protection

Skipping sun protection is a grave mistake if you want to maintain youthful and healthy skin. Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging, fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone. The harmful UV rays penetrate deep into the skin, damaging collagen and elastin fibers, which are responsible for maintaining skin's firmness and elasticity. By consistently protecting your skin with sunscreen, you shield it from these damaging rays and reduce the risk of photoaging. So, slather on that sunscreen and maybe even use a hat or rash guard while you are at it.

2. Not Cleaning Your Face Before Bed

Neglecting to clean your face before bed is a grave disservice to your skin's health. Throughout the day, your skin accumulates dirt, debris, makeup, and sunscreen, creating a toxic cocktail that clogs pores and suffocates your skin. By skipping the cleansing ritual, you allow these impurities to penetrate deeper, leading to breakouts, inflammation, and dull complexion. Moreover, the overnight buildup can disrupt the skin's natural rejuvenation process, hindering cell turnover and promoting premature aging. So, make cleansing a non-negotiable bedtime routine to let your skin breathe, renew, and radiate its natural beauty.

3. Dehydration

Dehydration spells trouble for your skin and compromises your glow. Insufficient hydration leaves your skin dry, dull, and prone to wrinkles. To combat this, remember to hydrate both internally and externally. Drink plenty of water to quench your body's thirst, and apply moisturizer to keep your skin supple and moisturized.

4. Inflammatory Diet

An inflammatory diet can wreak havoc on your skin. When you consume excessive amounts of processed foods, sugary treats, dairy, refined carbs, and unhealthy fats, it triggers an inflammatory response in your body. This inflammation can manifest on your skin in the form of acne, redness, and even accelerated aging. Additionally, an inflammatory diet can disrupt the delicate balance of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals necessary for maintaining healthy skin. To nurture your skin, opt for a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and healthy fats. Your skin will thank you with a clear, radiant complexion.

Like this stuff? It would mean the world to me if you can share with your friends and family! Your support is the best kind of motivation 😃 😃 😃 😃

GLO ABOVE & BEYOND

The high-end luxury perfume brand CREED has recently been snatched up by Kering Beauty for an estimated ~$1.5B. This is only the second time CREED has changed ownership since its founding. The CREED family sold the business to BlackRock Long Term Private Capital Europe in early 2020.

If you didn’t know, CREED actually boasts an illustrious heritage that traces back to the 1700s. As a family brand, it earned its initial distinction when commissioned by King George III to create the renowned fragrance, Royal English Leather. Since then, CREED has been passed down through seven generations, from fathers to sons, upholding its esteemed tradition as a fragrance supplier for European royals and aristocrats. The brand's ascent to eminence was further solidified when Queen Victoria, the granddaughter of King George III, appointed Creed as the official supplier to the royal house, adding to its prestigious reputation.

There seems to be a fierce arms race unfolding in the world of fragrance today, as brands scramble to acquire and invest in niche fragrance houses. Just last week, Advent International made waves by acquiring Parfums de Marly and Initio Parfums Privés, a deal that industry insiders estimate to be worth a jaw-dropping $700 million or more. But the action doesn't stop there! This month alone, we witnessed yet another significant acquisition as Boris Gratini et Hélène Ortola secured a majority stake in Sabé Masson, a brand renowned for its solid fragrances.

It's a thrilling time in the world of perfumery, where the pursuit of unique fragrances and niche brands has taken center stage. The allure of these olfactory gems has ignited a race for ownership, signaling a prosperous future for this captivating industry.
